SPEAK IV: A New Hope

Mr. Meadows lets us know that:

The fourth annual SPEAK (Speech Professional Education Alliance of Kentucky) Conference will be held at the University of Kentucky on Friday, September 26.

Legendary Kentucky speech and debate coach Mark Etherton (of Murray High and Rowan County High) will deliver the keynote address for SPEAK 4:  A New Hope – a journey through Kentucky’s past in speech and debate with visions of what the future can be.

A schedule for the day is posted on the SPEAK website, www.kyspeak.org, as are other resources and archives from past SPEAK conferences.  Registration will open on this website at the end of August and continue until September 22.

Please mark the date on your calendars and plan to attend.  Who doesn’t like missing a Friday from school?

Spread the word out to others you know who may be interested – middle school coaches, new coaches you know of, speech and debate teachers we don’t have involved in Kentucky National Forensic League already, members of your organizations if you head them, etc.
